Northern Gas and Power reveals exhibition plans to help firms hit net zero goals

An energy procurement and management consultancy has pledged to help businesses achieve net zero emissions targets after signing up to several exhibitions.

Northern Gas and Power is due to visit four events across September, October and November to engage with customers and prospects.

This week, the Gateshead-based firm was at the Care Home and Dementia Exhibition, in Birmingham.

Tailored to the needs of the care home market, it welcomed a host of businesses keen to explore new opportunities on how to run operations more efficiently for residents.

Northern Gas and Power works with a range of care homes to help them identify the most beneficial energy deals, as well as ways to conserve their energy consumption.

In late October, the business will attend the Great Northern Conference, at Cutler’s Wharf in Sheffield.

In its third year, the event will continue the debate on how best to grow the economy and build a greener, fairer, equal future for the North.

Bringing together key politicians, business leaders and the media, Northern Gas and Power is sponsoring the Energy Session, and will be discussing how businesses can increase their energy efficiency and achieve their net zero goals.

It will then head to a two-day expo in November at The Holiday Park & Resort Innovation Show.

Described as Europe’s largest event of its kind, organisers say it is dedicated to providing advice and industry knowledge to the most ambitious holiday park and resort owners and managers.

Later that month, Northern Gas and Power will attend EMEX, at Excel London, exhibiting and sponsoring the Sustainability & Net Zero theatre.

Dan Smith, Northern Gas and Power’s director of energy services, said: “We have an opportunity to totally transform how businesses use and manage energy.

“People want change – businesses tell us they want to become more eco-friendly.

“We need to drive that change through technology and we look forward to meeting businesses and explaining how we can help them.”

Politician and energy and net zero advocate Lord Rupert Redesdale added: “It is great to get the involvement of Northern Gas and Power again at EMEX; their stand was one of the best attended in 2019.

“Reducing energy consumption and carbon is key to us achieving net zero, so it is apt they are sponsoring the Sustainability and Net Zero theatre.”

NGP is developing the ClearVUE technology, which it says helps businesses reduce energy usage and costs through real-time data.
