Ouseburn Farm launches business partnership scheme
June 21, 2019
Local charity Ouseburn Farm has launched a new business partnership scheme to promote corporate social responsibility across the North East.
Businesses who are looking for partnerships that achieve social, environmental and economic impact are invited to get involved with the scheme.
It is thought that businesses often face a difficult decision when it comes to choosing whether to support a social or an environmental cause. Ouseburn Farm believes that it is in a unique position to address both of these causes whilst also providing experiences for staff and customers.
Ouseburn Farm exists to provide a space for vulnerable people to access training, gain skills and build confidence in a real-life work environment.
It’s also a very popular working farm that works with local school children, educating them about the origins of food and why we need to protect the planet’s natural resources.
Stef Anderson, Ouseburn Farm Charity’s Partnership Officer said: “The Farm exists to provide a green oasis for people of all backgrounds that live, visit, study and work in the North East.
“We know that there’s so much potential for us and other charities to work with businesses across the region to develop lasting and wide-reaching partnerships that will benefit not just those involved but broader communities and the environment.
“By connecting the dots between people, planet and profit we offer something a bit different which we’re already finding our business partners appreciate.
“The schemes that we’re launching at the end of this month have been designed so that we can offer businesses of all shapes, sizes and interests the opportunity to play their part in tackling some of the region’s most pressing environmental and social challenges whilst also providing their workforce and customers with something unique and joyful to take part in.”
To launch the scheme, the charity is hosting a Garden Party on June 26. Businesses across the North East are encouraged to attend.
