Perspective expands with quartet of takeovers – and promises more to come

A financial planning and wealth management firm says it is “relishing the opportunity to grow further at scale and pace” after sealing four takeovers and advancing seven further agreements.

Perspective Financial Group has bought Harrogate’s Brigham Wealth Management LLP; Halifax’s Brighter Financial Services; Buckinghamshire’s Airedale Personal Financial Solutions; and Cambridge’s Granite Coast.

The deals add 1100 clients and £310 million in assets under management to the business.

And bosses say they will be augmented by another seven tie-ups, which will “complete in the coming months”.

Its quartet of agreements mean Perspective, which has offices in Newcastle and Darlington, has made 12 acquisitions in the first half of 2023, matching the number made in the whole of 2022.

They also mean it has completed 67 takeovers since its foundation 16 years ago, with its office portfolio now stretching to 31 bases – and 410 staff – across the UK.

Ian Wilkinson, Perspective chief executive [pictured, above], said: “We have our biggest ever pipeline of acquisitions, both large and small, and relish the opportunity to continue to grow further at scale and pace.”

David Brigham, Brigham Wealth Management LLP, said: “Having worked on my own for a number of years, I decided the time was right to access help and support from a larger firm.

“Perspective is closely aligned to our values and approach, which will ensure continuity for my clients.”

In addition to its acquisitions, Perspective has secured carbon neutral status, with its standing certified by Carbon Neutral Britain.

Ian added: “We have been working on strategies to reduce our carbon footprint and we are committed to doing our part to create a better world.”
