A property investment and management agency has expanded.
Sillars has moved into Durham.
Bosses say it will allow the firm – which already has a presence in Darlington and Teesside – to tap into a growing rental market across both the city and Tyneside.
Run by managing director Paul Shoulder, finance director Anthony Sillars and sales director Liam McCallum, the company specialises in buying, selling, managing and growing property investments, from homeowner landlords to large portfolio clients.
Liam, who has been with the business since 2015, said: “With the cost of borrowing remaining high and mortgages challenging to secure, the rental market is very strong with excellent returns.
“Some landlords have chosen to sell up, thereby reducing supply, at a time when demand is high, so it is a good time to get into the rental investment market.
“Durham is especially strong because of its high student population and professional sector, and we cater for a diverse range of properties.
“The city is also reaping the benefits of great road, rail and air links, which are attracting a great deal of corporate investment, so it makes perfect sense to open a branch there.”
Paul added: “We are all very excited to see the expansion of the brand, which will allow us to offer clients even greater coverage of the North East.”
