Property consultancies merge to create regional market leader

Two leading names in North East property are joining forces to create the region’s largest independent commercial property firm.
Naylors and Gavin Black & Partners are coming together to form Naylors Gavin Black LLP. The new company will commence trading with immediate effect and boast a combined team of 38 staff.
Gavin Black, Chris Pearson and Martyn Collins of Gavin Black & Partners will be joining forces with Angus White, Fergus Laird, Keith Stewart and Chris Donabie of Naylors, as equity partners in the new firm.

Established in 1990, Naylors is appointed on some of the region’s most high profile development schemes including the International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP), VAUX in Sunderland, Durham’s Integra 61 and The Biosphere at Newcastle’s Helix.
Gavin Black and Partners are retained by a number of major property occupiers such as Vertu Motors PLC, Leeds Building Society, Network Rail, Sumo Digital PLC and British Engines and also act for high net worth individuals and investment funds with key instructions such as Trinity Gardens and Stockbridge House on Newcastle’s Quayside and across the UK.
With its sights set firmly on expansion, the new company is looking to build on the success of the two firm’s high profile agency teams. Naylors Gavin Black will also be focusing on the growth of its well-established building consultancy, management and professional services departments.

The integration of the two businesses will commence imminently with Gavin Black & Partners relocating to Naylors’ head office in Newcastle city centre.
