ramarketing announces North American expansion

International life sciences marketing agency ramarketing is opening a new office in Toronto, Canada, as it continues to bolster support for US clients and grow globally.

The decision to establish a presence in Canada is part of a long-term vision to bolster the agency’s footprint in North America.

It follows the successful opening of its Boston office in 2018.

The UK-headquartered agency is committed to expanding its North American presence to service clients across the US and Canada, as well as supporting clients in Europe and Asia.

The downtown Toronto office will be led by three senior team members from day one and will be established as a hub to embed ramarketing’s unique culture and attract exceptional talent from the greater Toronto region.

Emma Banks, chief executive at ramarketing, said: “Our expansion into Toronto marks a pivotal milestone for ramarketing, solidifying our commitment to global expansion.

“The thriving life science ecosystem and proximity to a  growing pharma manufacturing hub present abundant opportunities for collaboration and exponential growth.

“The Toronto office will offer numerous advantages for US clients; the move supports the company’s well-established East Coast team members in Boston, New Jersey, the Research Triangle Park (RTP) in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

“Adding a new location will enhance the agency’s international outlook and attract top-tier talent from diverse backgrounds to seamlessly cater to the thriving North American market.

“With our highly adaptable, and specialist team, we are confident that the move will be a success.

“We look forward to building solid relationships in the region, both in the local community and with Canadian and North American clients.”

Following investment from private equity firm NorthEdge 18 months ago, the agency has exceeded its growth targets, delivering a 45 percent rise in topline revenue and an increase in headcount of over 40 percent.

Already well established in Europe, the Toronto office underlines ramarketing’s position as a leading player in the pharmaceutical and biotech space that will enable more strategic partnerships with companies across Canada and North America.

During the expansion process, ramarketing worked closely with Toronto Global, a not-for-profit investment attraction agency that supports the expansion of foreign-owned businesses to the Toronto region.

Talking about the partnership, chief executive Stephen Lund said:  “My team and I had the privilege of partnering with the ramarketing team to facilitate this strategic venture into the Toronto region.

“It has been a pleasure to provide our team of experienced business advisors to assist with the expansion. I am excited to welcome ramarketing to Toronto!”

As a global life sciences hub, ramarketing selected the Toronto region because it attracts some of the world’s leading biosciences, pharmaceutical, and medical technology companies.

With 53 of the world’s top 100 life sciences companies and 16 of the top 25 global medical device companies located in the region, it is the perfect location for the agency’s new office.

The diverse city has a thriving life sciences ecosystem and is home to world-class research institutions, such as the University of Toronto which is world-renowned for its life sciences and healthcare programs.

The combination of academic and commercial infrastructure means that Toronto boasts a diverse and highly skilled talent pool; over 14,000 people work in pharmaceutical manufacturing in the Toronto region – more than Boston, Los Angeles, Montréal, and Indianapolis.
