Scaleup North East extends support
January 8, 2019
North East businesses on the cusp of significant growth, but not quite ready to scaleup, can now benefit from a unique 2-day pre-scale bootcamp, as the successful Scaleup North East programme opens its doors and extends support to some of the region’s smaller businesses.
The two-day pre-scale boot camp, designed and delivered by experienced Scaleup partners alongside specialist experts, will help business owners better understand potential challenges and plan for growth, leaving with a practical management toolkit that leaders can implement into their business creating immediate outputs.
The Scaleup North East programme, now in its second year, is focussed on fast growing companies with the potential to go achieve significant growth by the year 2021. The programme aims to work with 650 businesses that can demonstrate the required desire and potential to achieve high levels of growth in this time. Programme Director, Jason Legget commented:
“Although our focus is on fast growing scaling firms, we recognise from working with over 180 existing businesses, the importance of a growth mindset to the success of growing firms. Last November we invited businesses interested in our scaling community to our Scaleup Summit to help inspire them. We want to grow the ambition of North East businesses to scaleup and to help those who might not be ready yet for scaling but certainly see envision it for their future.”
“To effectively scale your company, you need to have clear strategy for growth – if you are too focussed working in your business, and don’t have the time to step out to work on your business, then this pre-scale bootcamp is for you.”
RTC North is delivering Scaleup North East in partnership with North East Local Enterprise Partnership, and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
