Stockton security firm ‘moves to Next Level’ as investment spurs 50-plus jobs

A security firm has created more than 50 jobs.

Next Level Security Services (NLSS) has bolstered its team after winning work worth almost £5 million.

The expansion also follows the Stockton-headquartered company’s success in capturing six-figure support from NPIF – FW Capital Debt Finance.

NLSS, whose services include security guarding and access control, was founded in 2015 and employs more than 200 people.

Derek Laird, managing director [pictured, above], said: “I’m thrilled with our success.

“We believe we’re the biggest and most sustainable organic security business in the North East and I’m proud of this latest new contract win, which has led to significantly boosting our workforce.

“The investment from FW Capital has been instrumental in our growth.”

Dave Hawkins, FW Capital portfolio executive, added: “NLSS is a fantastic growth story.

“We’ve funded the business before to support their growth ambitions and I’m delighted to see this success continue.

“This investment is a great example of how debt funding can create new jobs and aid expansion plans.”

Alongside its Stockton hub, NLSS runs offices in Leeds and Glasgow, with a further site primed to open in Warrington.

NPIF – FW Capital Debt Finance is managed by FW Capital and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.
