Tech firm invests £150,000 in new payment platform

Tees Valley tech and hospitality firm ServAce has invested over £150,000 in a new payment platform.

Bosses believe the new technology – which enables BACS payments to be made through an automated system – is set to revolutionise the way training and apprenticeship hotel bookings are managed.

Louise White, ServAce co-owner said: “Our team has worked tirelessly to create this new technology, which we believe will completely transform the way training and events are booked.

“Previously, our clients had a credit arrangement, where we would book the venues on their behalf and then they would manage the payment side.

“This manual process was creating more work for everyone involved and leading to aged debt challenges. The new solution is lean with instant payment and automated reports, keeping everyone up to date, around the clock.

“The solution, which has been over a year in the making, means everything is managed in one place. It makes the whole process so easy with booking and payment all done within three simple steps.

“It really is a game changer for our industry and once again, ServAce is at the forefront of innovative technology development.”

Based at Wynyard Business Park, ServAce specialises in training and event booking management.

It was launched in 2006 and since then has supported several national blue-chip companies to manage thousands of online and residential training courses, predominately for apprenticeships.

It now employs 22 people with plans for further recruitment in the pipeline.

Louise added: “We pride ourselves on recruiting the right people who share our ambitions to create market-leading technology solutions delivered through the very best customer service experience.

“So far this year we have expanded our team with six new recruits and before the year is out, we expect to have at least another two people joining us.

“Our people are key to our plans for national growth and with the addition of this new technology, our position as the UK market leader for training and event booking management will be firmly secured.”
