The SDDE Smith Group on growth trail after triple expansion

A property service business is eyeing further growth after completing a trio of takeovers it says will quadruple turnover.

The SDDE Smith Group is in acquisition talks after adding Cochranes Law Firm, technology operator ResiCentral and estate agency Selwyn Hedgley to its stable.

Bosses say the three deals – which have created 15 jobs – will push annual turnover to £25 million by the end of 2023.

The companies add to a line-up that includes holiday home venture Host and Stay, Grey-Smith Legal and WOODSmith Construction, and were secured with support from accountancy firm Anderson Barrowcliff.

Dale Smith, SDDE Smith Group owner, said: “We are continuing to grow our portfolio and increase our revenue each year, without compromising on the high-quality, full service offering we provide.”

James Dale, Anderson Barrowcliff partner, added: “We’ve been working with SDDE Smith Group since early 2022, and for us these aren’t just acquisitions, they’re key steps in our client’s overall growth model and goals.

“We’re currently making inroads with a fourth acquisition and look forward to assisting the group in building its portfolio in line with ambitious targets.

“Over the last few years, we’ve seen an uprising in dynamic entrepreneurs from the region, such as Dale and the SDDE Smith Group team, and it’s a privilege to be part of their journey.”
