The Storage Place creates jobs with warehouse expansion

A parcel storage and delivery firm says it has created more than 20 jobs in a warehouse expansion.

The Storage Place has bought a Durham base to bolster operations.

Bosses say the site will service work for a number of new customers, with roles including management and planning positions.

The warehouse is the second bought by the Gateshead-based company in the last 12 months.

Paul Griffiths, managing director, said: “We’re delighted to have not only expanded our business, but to have created new jobs in the process.

“With inflation on the rise and the cost of living hitting people hard, we have a duty as a growing business to bring job opportunities to the area.”

Named fastest growing small business at the 2022 Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 Awards, The Storage Place works with brands including Amazon, eBay and Argos.
