August 16, 2019
An e-commerce and digital marketing agency is on a strong footing after securing a contract renewal with a family-run shoe retailer.
Stockton-based Visualsoft has extended its working relationship with Charles Clinkard.
The duo’s fresh deal continues a longstanding collaboration between the two businesses, which dates back to 2006.
According to their tie-up, Visualsoft will provide the retailer with a range of digital services, including social media marketing and hosting the Charles Clinkard website on its e-commerce platform.
It will also manage the search engine optimisation (SEO) of Charles Clinkard’s sister site Gabor Shoes, with the Middlesbrough-headquartered shoe stockist additionally benefiting from Visualsoft’s Shared Success model, wherein the agency’s fee is based on a percentage of the client’s online sales.
David Duke, Visualsoft chief operations officer, said the company was looking forward to maintaining its successful relationship, which he revealed has delivered achievements that include a 97 per cent year-on-year increase in traffic from social media channels.
He said: “Charles Clinkard is one of our longest-standing clients and it’s fantastic they’ve shown total faith in us again with this new contract.
“The results speak for themselves.
“Our work together has been extremely positive, and the business’ online presence has gone from strength-to-strength.
“We’re confident that we can reach new heights together over the coming years.”
Rachel Clinkard, e-commerce director at Charles Clinkard, added: “We’ve been working with Visualsoft for a long time and have never felt the need to look elsewhere.
“The service they provide is second-to-none and fantastic value.
“Over the last 13 years, we’ve developed personal relationships with the Visualsoft team.
“They know the business inside out and as a result of working closely together we’ve seen steady growth for over a decade.”
Launched in Middlesbrough, Charles Clinkard has remained a family business since its inception with the opening of a single shoe shop in 1924.
Today, it is one of the largest independent footwear retailers in the UK, with 32 stores nationwide.
