Wallsend subsea contractor Rever Offshore upbeat after strong period

A subsea services company says it is primed for further progress after complementing successful campaigns with new projects.

Rever Offshore has hailed its momentum following a strong half-year period.

The business, which has an office in Wallsend, completed operations with CNR International, Perenco and Spirit Energy, among other production and exploration majors.

The contractor completed multiple projects in the North Sea, building on existing frame agreements, which it says has allowed clients quicker access to its fleet of subsea support vessels and experienced team.

Inspection, repair and maintenance work (IRM) using DSV Rever Sapphire was completed for a UK-based petroleum exploration and production company, while work was also carried out for Spirit Energy, along with a 36-day remotely operated vehicle support vessel campaign in the east Irish Sea.

A further 29 days was concluded on the NW Bell pipeline, comprising saturation diving work with independent operator Perenco.

Bosses say Rever will build upon its continued successful track record in the UK Continental Shelf during the second half of 2019 carrying out work including IRM, with further scopes secured for execution in 2020.

Barry Macleod, Rever Offshore chief executive, said: “I am delighted with the progress we have made over the last six months.

“Our teams have worked incredibly hard for clients and the work produced has been of an impressive standard, which in turn leads to additional award wins.

“This positive end to the first half of 2019 has paved the way for continued success later in the year and into 2020.”
