Ward Hadaway revealed as one of the UK’s busiest legal dealmakers in Experian Q1 rankings

Commercial law firm Ward Hadaway says it is defying Brexit-related uncertainty after a recognised industry report revealed the company has the second busiest team of all corporate legal dealmakers in the country.

The latest Q1 Experian MarketIQ legal volume rankings, which tracks M&A deals valued at more than £500,000 at regional and national level, says Ward Hadaway’s corporate team advised on 20 deals in total.

The deals were divided across the firm’s offices in Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester, with 11 completed by its North East team, which was almost three times that of the next ranked firm in the region.

Ward Hadaway’s corporate team was previously recognised as last year’s busiest corporate dealmaker in the North East in the 2018 Experian MarketIQ league tables.

The first quarter of the current year has seen the team forging ahead and advising on a whole range of different projects to maintain their leading position.

The Experian MarketIQ report added Ward Hadaway’s Leeds office is jointly leading the way for Yorkshire’s deal-making market, having completed seven transactions, with its Manchester team sixth in the North West.
