Ward Hadaway strengthens construction team with two new appointments
February 18, 2021
Solicitors Barnaby Rosenthall and Keeley Edmondson are the two latest appointments to join Ward Hadaway’s growing Built Environment Team.
Both have been appointed to work in the firm’s construction and engineering team, advising clients involving development, site and project issues including contract reviews and advising on any potential disputes.
They join five lawyers within the team, which appointed Stephen Radcliffe as partner in November last year.
Barnaby who is based at the Leeds office, joins from his previous firm where he was a commercial solicitor and is supporting the team on contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters. He has experience advising contractors, developers, local governments, the police and a national supermarket chain.
He is involved in all types of dispute resolution on behalf of claimants and defendants including litigation, adjudication, mediation and arbitration.
He said: “This is a great career move for me. Ward Hadaway has an excellent reputation and I’m excited to be part of this growing team. I have been made very welcome since I joined and look forward to using my experience and knowledge to advise and support a wide variety of clients.”
Keeley is based at the firm’s office in Newcastle and will assist with contentious and non-contentious work and since joining, has been advising clients on amending building contracts for large development projects and handling disputes in respect of defects and cladding.
She joins Ward Hadaway from her previous firm where she was an associate, working with large international clients supporting the corporate, marine and aviation finance teams. Commenting on her appointment, she said: “Ward Hadaway continues to grow from strength to strength and is very highly regarded within the sector, which is what attracted me to this position. I am really looking forward to working with the team and their clients and utilising my knowledge and experience from previous roles.”
Stephen Radcliffe, Partner at Ward Hadaway, said: “I’d like to welcome Barnaby and Keeley to the team and I am looking forward to working with them both. We are continually growing to support our construction and engineering clients and to grow our reputation as one of the leading law firms in the country.
“Despite the current economic climate, it’s great to be able to create these new roles and opportunities to support our growing team.”
Ward Hadaway’s Built Environment Team works across many disciplines in real estate, construction, development, engineering, social housing and house building serving clients regionally, nationally and internationally from its three offices in Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester.
