Westfield School celebrate outstanding A-Level results
August 22, 2018
Westfield School’s students and staff are celebrating another outstanding year of A-Level results. Westfield’s results are a reflection of the hard work and commitment of our girls and the application they demonstrate to their studies and their futures on a day to day basis throughout their A-Level courses. 35% achieved A*/A grades! A massive 56% were A*-B
In true Westfield fashion the girls have achieved academic success alongside extra-curricular triumphs, with our Head Girl and Deputy both completing their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award just before their A-level exams!
Headmaster, Mr Neil Walker said
“We are very proud of all of our girls and the progress they have made. We welcome girls with a wide diversity of skills and talents and it has been wonderful to see them grow and develop ready to leave us to pursue success in their chosen careers. They and their teachers should be congratulated on their results. We all feel privileged to have played a part in their journey.”
Gabrielle Newbigin has achieved 3 A’s and will be going to the University of Northumbria to study Fashion and Marketing.
“I was so nervous this morning. I am actually still in a bit of shock to be honest; I’m so happy with my results. I’ve done so much better than I thought and I am so excited about the course I am going to study.”
Louise Greenshields who has been at Westfield since the age of 9 has achieved 3 A’s and will be heading to Leeds University to study Psychology.
“I have done much better than I expected in ALL the subjects, Chemistry, Psychology and Maths. I am so so happy!”
