Womble Bond Dickinson ‘strengthens Teesside focus’ with Wilton Centre office expansion

A law firm says it has “reaffirmed its long-term commitment” to Teesside following an office expansion.

Womble Bond Dickinson has switched to a larger base at the Wilton Centre, near Redcar.

Bosses say the move will strengthen the company’s presence across sectors including renewable energy and manufacturing, and increase further its support for the area’s freeport venture.

The Wilton Centre is home to a number of operators, including Sabic, Mitsubishi Chemical and Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies.

Tees Valley Lithium was also recently given approval to press ahead with a £200 million-plus lithium hydroxide refinery on the wider Wilton International site.

Peter Snaith, Womble Bond Dickinson UK partner and head of manufacturing and the firm’s Teesside practice, said: “We look forward to expanding on the work we do with the business community across the region, and leveraging our local, national and international expertise to promote inward investment opportunities for Teesside.”

Sarah Daun, UK partner, added: “Bolstering our presence in one of the most economically active regions in the UK will support the growth of our clients, many based only a stone throw away from the Wilton Centre, enable us to recruit more talent and present exciting new opportunities for us to be involved in.

“Teesside plays an important part in our success story, and supports our growth plans in key sectors including manufacturing, renewable energy, digital, transport and local government.”
