Gold award for premium spirits maker The Lakes Distillery

The Lakes Distillery has received the VisitEngland Gold Award 2018.

The distillery has received an outstanding review complete with the gold award for the visitor attraction.

It is the second year running the distillery has won the prestigious award.

The distillery was the only distillery to win the Gold Award accolade and one of only two golds to be awarded in the North West.

Other Gold Award winners included HM Tower of London, Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre and Highgrove Gardens.

VisitEngland is the largest official assessment body of its kind when it comes to visitor attractions. Now in its 30th year, VisitEngland Awards for Excellence is firmly established as representing the highest accolade in English Tourism.
