80-job joy as Newcastle Strategic Solutions reveals expansion plan

A savings management platform has announced 80 new jobs.

Newcastle Strategic Solutions says the posts are the first phase of a ‘tech talent’ investment drive that will see significant and continuing recruitment in 2020.

The North Tyneside-based online savings technology and services provider says the 80 roles will add to its existing 600-strong team, which is based at Cobalt Park and Newcastle city centre.

Bosses say the new roles will support complex projects, including launching new banks and developing new and innovative services for existing clients.

They will also include opportunities in customer service, client service, business transformation and financial crime operations.

Business growth, continued success and positive half-year business results has accelerated investment in the business, which is one of the North East’s most established and successful FinTechs.

Phil Grand, managing director of Solutions, which is part of Newcastle Building Society, said: “This is a major moment in our history and development.

“Proudly based in the North East, our work has earned us an enviable reputation in the market as the best at what we do.

“We’re at a significant point where we need more talented people to join our amazing team and play a key part in delivering the next chapter in the success story of our Solutions business.

“Newcastle Strategic Solutions offers an exciting, friendly and fast-paced workplace, with great opportunities for self-development.

“We are a place where colleagues can realise their potential and do their best work in an exhilarating, leading-edge environment, while also contributing to making the North East a vibrant and thriving place to live and work.”
