Archers Law celebrates corporate growth success

Stockton-based Archers Law has doubled the size of its corporate offering after a strong period of growth. The announcement is further indication of the growing professional services industry in the Tees Valley.

Archers’ corporate department has benefitted from the addition of solicitor Oliver Hebdon, who has experience in acquisitions and disposals involving local and national private companies and SMEs.

He has worked closely with organisations throughout the North East and has a breadth of knowledge in a wide range of company and commercial matters.

On joining the company, Oliver said: “I am delighted to be part of such a well-regarded law firm in the North East.

“Archers Law boasts an incredibly strong corporate department which constantly delivers outstanding results for clients, and I am very much looking forward to working with companies to provide strategic advice in my areas of specialism.”

The team at Archers was also the only Teesside corporate department to receive top tier status in the Legal 500 index.

The company has recently provided legal support for a number of high-value mergers and acquisitions such as the £4 million share sale of Subsea Innovation to Tekmar Group.

Other recent projects include a £5 million share sale of a pharmacy group along with various other transactions over the past 18 months totalling over £100 million in deal value.

David Adams, Partner and Head of Corporate said: “Corporate transactions can be challenging for clients, particularly when a client is selling a business they have grown and developed for many years.

“We pride ourselves not only on providing excellent technical advice but also in making the process as smooth and as stress free as possible.”

The company was shortlisted for ‘Law Firm of the Year (6-plus Partners)’ at the Northern Law Awards, with David Adams winning ‘Lawyer of the Year’ and Dan Flounders ‘Rising Star of the Year’ in previous years.
