Baldwins’ consultant dons his dancing shoes for charity

A consultant from one of the fastest growing accountancy firms in the UK has put on his dancing shoes and is hoping to raise thousands for a local charity.

Brian Logan, consultant at Baldwins’ Sunderland office, a Cogital Group company, along with his dance partner, Sarah Cooper, business relationship manager at Barclays, have pledged to raise £2,000 for Durham’s St Cuthbert’s Hospice by participating in its dance competition.

Strictly St Cuthbert’s Final 2019 will take place on March 9th at The Lancastrian Suite, Gateshead, and will see amateur dancers compete to win the glitter ball trophy.

Brian and Sarah, along with the nine competing couples, have begun their eight weeks’ training in preparation for the competition.

“Having never danced sober before, it was far from easy at first but I’m loving the challenge and I’ve even lost a bit of weight so it’s brilliant,” explained Brian.

“The hospice is an amazing place and I’m enjoying raising money for such a great cause.

“Sarah and I have worked together for a long time and so it’s the perfect partnership. We’re having a laugh but we’re having to learn quite quickly.

“I would like to say a special thank you to all of the team from Baldwins, my friends and family. They’ve supported me throughout the training and I’m looking forward to showing them what I’ve learnt at the grand finale.”

With a plan to wow the audience, Brian and Sarah will be performing a Paso Doble, in a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed dance.

St Cuthbert’s Hospice is a charity which provides care and support, free of charge, to people with life limiting conditions, as well as their families and carers.
