CDS Recruitment celebrates 10 years in business

A North East-based engineering, technical and scientific recruitment specialist is celebrating 10 years in business.

CDS Recruitment was established in 2009 by Chris Sultman and offers a range of recruitment solutions. The firm has enjoyed year on year organic growth, doubling the size of its turnover and team in the last five years.

The company’s client base is diverse, including SMEs, national corporates and international blue-chip organisations.

A member of the Recruitment Employment Confederation (REC), CDS puts its success down to having developed an excellent reputation of consistency meeting client needs.

CDS has recently opened a second office in Hertfordshire, in line with its milestone year, and hopes to further strengthen its position within key sectors including manufacturing, engineering, chemical, oil and gas and renewables.

The company is also recruiting to further strengthen its training division, with a view to developing inhouse training and an apprenticeship scheme that nurtures the next generation of recruitment consultants.

Chris Sultman, managing director of CDS Recruitment, said: “CDS Recruitment was born out of a desire to set up a recruitment business which took the time to really understand its clients and develop personal and long-standing relationships with them.

“I had more than 10 years’ experience in specialist technical recruitment at the time of launching CDS Recruitment and my vision was to establish a business which gives its clients the confidence to know they have the right company selecting the right candidates to fit the needs of their business.

“Our team are at the heart of CDS Recruitment and we have a very low staff turnover – they are professional, friendly and highly knowledgeable.

“The future looks very bright, we currently have over 25,000 candidates active on our database and are looking to continue to grow steadily and work with our current clients to help them grow and succeed, whilst acquiring new clients.”
