Chuhan & Singh welcomes Gary Lumby to help drive growth plan

An accountancy firm has appointed a consultant to support its growth plans.

Chuhan & Singh chartered accountants has brought businessman Gary Lumby on board.

Gary will provide advice on a number of elements within the Middlesbrough-based company, including growth, strategic development and HR.

Director Tony Blueitt said Gary’s influence and experience, which includes working with SMEs across the UK in a variety of sectors, will be key as the firm looks to increase its stature over the coming year.

He said: “Our business has grown organically since its inception by concentrating on providing a high quality, personal service to all clients.

“Our aim is to grow the business by 20 per cent within the next 12 months, and Gary’s appointment is part of our journey to achieving this.”

Gary, who has known the firm for many years, said he is excited by his new venture.

“I have always been impressed by the size and diversity of Chuhan & Singh’s client base, as well as the hands-on approach of the partners who often go above and beyond what is expected of an accountant,” he said.

“With my wide experience, I could see that I could help the firm accelerate its already excellent growth by ensuring they are managing and investing in people, as well as using technological resources to their best advantage.”

Gursharan Singh, director of the company, which was founded in Teesside in 1970, added: “We’re looking forward to working with Gary to share thoughts and experiences, as well as business ideas to improve the overall quality of the business.”
