Darlington law firm Clark Willis reveals new partner appointments

A law firm says it is looking to the future with extra confidence after unveiling an experienced duo as new partners.

Clark Willis, which has clients across County Durham, the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire, has appointed Alex Spurr and Alister Jones to the roles.

The duo will head up the business’ private client and property teams, respectively.

The pair have 28 years of combined legal experience and have a strong relationship, having studied together at Law school.

Alister said: “We are excited about the opportunities that developing and driving forward Clark Willis will bring.

“Alex and I have supported each other through our legal careers, from studying to becoming partners in this firm, and it’s significant to take this next step with a close friend.”

The pair, who have both stayed within the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire throughout their careers, are passionate about the area and would like the firm to be part of delivering the region’s future, particularly that of Darlington’s.

Alex said: “I’m looking forward to becoming more involved in the community in addition to my existing charitable work with Darlington Bondgate Round Table and Santa’s Sleigh.

“My focus is to bring even greater technical expertise to the private client side of the business, allowing us to provide legal assistance to a broader range of people from our offices in Darlington and Catterick, North Yorkshire.”

Partner Tanya Bloomfield added: “The experience that both Alister and Alex bring will be invaluable to not only increasing and improving the services we offer, but in showcasing the firm, our team, and importantly the communities around all of our offices.”
