Evolved Search to create nearly 50 jobs in expansion

A digital marketing agency has revealed plans to create nearly 50 jobs as it looks to build on rising revenue.

Evolved Search aims to bolster its workforce with 45 new starters by September 2021.

Bosses at the Newcastle-based company, which celebrates its fifth birthday next month, say they will need a larger headcount to maintain its growth as they target a 270 per cent increase in revenue by August 2022.

They expect the venture, which presently employs 31 people, to hit the £2 million mark by the end of 2019, with officials eventually hoping to have more than 100 people on board within the next five years to support its momentum.

The agency, which provides SEO, PPC, content marketing and digital PR support services, has strengthened its management structure to prepare for the growth.

It has appointed Ian McIntosh as managing director and fellow co-founder David Watts as digital innovations director, with Tom Etherington moving to operations director.

John Ridley has been promoted to head of content and outreach.

Ian said: “We’ve had a fantastic five years of trading and our growth over the past two years has shown our specialist service offering is something that businesses are very keen to utilise.

“In the past year, we’ve won work from household brands and picked up industry awards for our campaigns.

“It’s been great to reflect on our successes, redefine our growth plans, and outline our vision, and we’re all excited about what the future holds.”

Tom added: “The plans we’ve set out will enable us to bring in more specialist members of staff and provide career opportunities to those just getting started in digital marketing.

“Our top priorities are to deliver great results for clients and make Evolved a great place to work.

“The culture initiatives, benefits and learning and development plans that we’ve introduced mean our people have the best opportunities and can get out as much as they put in.”

Evolved recently won this year’s Best B2C Campaign title at the UK Search Awards, the Search Campaign of the Year honour at the UK eCommerce Awards, and the Best Finance Campaign title at the UK Content Awards.
