Gateshead Quayside office development nears completion

A new £2 million office development on the Gateshead Quayside has taken steps towards completion after appointing Knight Frank to market the 5259 sq. ft space.

Situated adjacent to the Tyne Bridge on Bottle Bank, Tyne Bridge House is being delivered by property development firm, Adderstone Group.

It will be one of the region’s most prominent office locations, with more than 20 million cars passing it each year.

The two-storey building will also have a roof terrace with panoramic views over the River Tyne and towards Sage Gateshead.

Construction is currently underway and due to be completed by Q4 2020.

Melanie Brown, Adderstone Group’s commercial estates manager, said: The office will make a fantastic self-contained headquarters.

“The location is excellent and set to get even better as a result of the significant development happening on Gateshead Quayside, including the £260 million Arena scheme, plus it benefits from a number of outstanding bars and restaurants like By The River Brew Co.”

Tyne Bridge House will have a full height curved glazed façade, double-height reception with a feature spiral staircase leading to a roof terrace as well as parking, cycle storage and shower facilities.

It will also be equipped with acoustic glazing and filtered fresh air systems.

Patrick Matheson, partner, at Knight Frank Newcastle, adds: “Demand for offices in NewcastleGateshead remains strong.

“We are expecting a lot of interest in this office development – the sustainable location really is outstanding.

“There is an opportunity for the occupier to work with Adderstone Group, to incorporate their requirements into the final design.”
