Institute of Directors to hold Newcastle and Tees Valley debates on key business issues

A series of debates on key business issues will be held across the North East by the Institute of Directors (IoD).

The Policy Voice events will seek IoD members’ opinions on matters important to business leaders, such as the economy, regulation, skills and Brexit.

The series will take in Newcastle and the Tees Valley, with the data collected developed into IoD policy reports, embedded into Government consultations and shared with policymakers and the media.

Rashmi Dubé, policy voice ambassador for Yorkshire and the North East will chair the debates.

Themes will include productivity, skills, connectivity and inclusivity.

Rashmi said: “Our new series of Policy Voice round tables provide members with a great opportunity to contribute to important debates and ultimately influence decision making in the corridors of power.”

The Policy Voice series include:

10 July – Deloitte, Newcastle

20 September – Wynyard Hall, Tees Valley

16 October – Jesmond Dene House Hotel, Newcastle
