Local law firm announces appointment during pandemic

The team at Archers Law has announced the appointment of senior solicitor, Paula Warburton. Paula joined the firm on September 1, 2020.

Paula has enjoyed working in Teesside area since 1994, having qualified as a solicitor in 1988, and brings with her a wealth of experience in wills, tax, trusts and estate planning. Paula said ‘I really appreciate the opportunity to assist clients at some of the most difficult times in their lives.’ Paula also advises on Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters and acts as a deputy for a number of clients, as well as advising clients appointed as attorneys and deputies in fulfilling their obligations.

Paula joins the Wills, Probate and Trusts unit at Archers Law and is ‘excited to be joining the existing team who have been so friendly and welcoming during this unique time’ Paula added that she ‘feels at home already’ having spent her first week working in the office, albeit in a whirlwind of zoom meetings and socially distant hellos. Paula, who has been a member of STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) since 1994, also works with many clients with agricultural and business assets especially in relation to passing those assets down through the generations.

Archers Law Partner and Head of Wills, Probate and Trusts, Wendy John, said ‘We are delighted to welcome Paula to Archers Law. She joins a strong team of solicitors and legal assistants and brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge.’ Wendy added that ‘It’s very positive to be welcoming new members of the team during the pandemic and I am very much looking forward to working with Paula.’

Outside the office, Paula is an enthusiastic walker, whether on the North York Moors, the Lakeland fells or the lovely local beaches, taking in all Teesside and the local area has to offer.
