Look picture perfect at Hardwick Live

A leading salon is helping camping festival-goers glam up and look their best at the North East’s largest live music event.

Hardwick Live, held at Hardwick Hall Hotel at Sedgewick, has teamed up with Reef Salons to offer a pop-up salon tipi across the two-day festival, which takes place 18 – 19 August for anyone who is camping at the event.

At the same time, campers can also connect with their inner zen by taking part in a new addition to Hardwick Live – yoga sessions which will run on Sunday.

Reef Salons, which is also based at the Spa at Ramside, at Hardwick’s sister hotel, will be offering a range of services throughout the event, from the campsite.

Music fans who favour an up-do can choose from 90s double buns or a range of different braid styles, while those who prefer a more textured style can request festival waves created using a range of GHD styling tools.

The salon will be offering a range of colours to add temporary streaks into the hair and optional glitter roots to add a touch of sparkle.

And as well as providing hairstyles, festival-goers who want to make a statement at the event can get their makeup done at the tipi using L’Oreal products or pick from a collection of face jewels.

Appointments can be booked by emailing [email protected], with the salon offering a 10 per cent early bird discount subject to availability. Walk in appointments will also be available.

The campsite is also the location for 45 minute Vinyasa Flow wake up yoga classes, which will take place at 10am and 10.45am on Sunday and is only open to campers.

Anyone wanting to take part needs to bring their own and pre-book by calling Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa on 0191 375 3088.

Hardwick Live boasts an impressive star-studded line-up across the two-day festival, with the Kaiser Chiefs headlining on Saturday and the Happy Mondays and Shed Seven taking top billing on Sunday.

John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates which organises the annual festival said: “We are delighted to have Reef Salons making a home at Hardwick Live over the weekend.

“Every year we try to add something new and this time round we have our celebrity chef experience and now we are adding the pop-up salon, which I’m sure will be a huge hit.”
