My Property Box increases portfolio after Holt Estate Agents deal

A letting agency has increased its rental portfolio by 20 per cent following a takeover deal.

My Property Box has acquired Holt Estate Agents.

Bosses said the move represents another step forward for Darlington-based My Property Box, which was founded just seven years ago.

Managing director Ben Quaintrell said he is excited about the company’s potential following its takeover of Holt, which formerly had an office in Thornaby, near Stockton.

He added: “The addition of such a significant number of properties in this area of the Tees Valley has allowed us to grow the footprint of our business.

“It underlines our ambition to continue to grow and make our innovative and comprehensive services available to landlords and tenants across a much wider area.

“Having founded the business from scratch just seven years ago, I’m hugely excited at this expansion, which allows the company to add to our reputation as a trusted lettings agency offering excellent service and expert advice.”

My Property Box, which recently moved into new headquarters on Darlington’s Grange Road, delivers a range of letting services, which include a digital platform for landlords and mobile app for tenants.

The company’s software also allows landlords to access contract forms via a smartphone, as well as being able to photograph and submit required documents.
