Newcastle-based Nicholson Nairn Architects (NNA) is targeting further growth after opening a second studio in Yorkshire.

Founded in 1991, the architecture practice is run by Tony Nicholson and Garfield Nairn with a team of 13 people behind them.

The firm works on a wide range of projects from homes extensions to residential and commercial properties throughout the UK.

Current projects include large care homes, a leisure complex and volume housing developments.

The new Yorkshire studio will be headed up by associate Gary Wilson.

Chris Barr, managing director at NNA, said: “The Yorkshire studio is key to the continued strategic growth of the business and its future plans.

“Gary is an experienced and talented architect with drive and ambition aligned to Nicholson Nairn’s ethos. His excellent local knowledge and reputation are also important in establishing the new studio.

“I have no doubt, that with the support of our existing team, Gary will play a huge part in this exciting new chapter for the practice.”
