North East awarding body makes The Sunday Times top 100 list

National awarding organisation, NCFE, has been voted as one of the best employers to work for in the UK in this year’s The Sunday Times 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to Work For.

The Newcastle headquartered company, which employs more than 300 people across the UK, climbed 59 places in this year’s list to secure a place at number 41.

In addition to reaching 41 in the list, NCFE also received a special recognition award to celebrate reaching the Top 100 for ten years and has been placed in the 40 Best Companies to work for in the North East.

Colleagues were asked to comment on eight distinct areas: Leadership, My Company, Personal Growth, My Manager, My Team, Giving Something Back, Fair Deal and Wellbeing – all of which are major drivers of colleague engagement.

David Grailey, chief executive of NCFE, said: “Receiving the special recognition award is a true reflection of what NCFE stands for and to move up to number 41 in the space of a year is a fantastic achievement.

“Gaining recognition as one of the best companies to work for again this year is an achievement we’re extremely proud of – especially as this is a result of our colleagues’ feedback. This is important to us as it allows us to continually evolve as the business grows to ensure we remain an employer of choice for existing and new colleagues.

“Our people are undoubtedly our strongest asset and we’ll continue to invest in our colleagues, recruit the best and build on our strong culture to ensure all of our colleagues feel valued, developed and fully committed to our core purpose of creating opportunities for success to enrich society.”
