North East barber launches new products to build on international recognition

An internationally recognised barber is now investing in the expansion of his hair product range after receiving global plaudits following the launch of the business six months ago.

Sam Wall created his ‘Let’s Ave It’ range of men’s hair products in July 2019 and saw stock sell out within days, with orders coming from as far afield as Canada.

Sam, travels all over the world conducting masterclasses, workshops and trades shows from his base in the North East.

His products have been used at major exhibitions and shows for brands including technology giant Panasonic.

Six months after the launch of the first phase of his eponymous branded range, the barber – who counts celebrities, leading sports stars and business figures among his client base – is investing in the creation of three further products.

The second release includes a conditioner – to accompany the shampoo in the initial launch – a hair paste and a men’s anti-ageing moisturiser, marking the entrepreneur’s first foray into the skincare market.

There are now ten products in the Mr Sam Wall range, which retail online and at the Hidden Heights Creative Studio, in Gateshead’s Railway Arches, where Sam is based.

Sam’s international reputation is built on a number of award wins for hairdressing excellence, including the ONESHOT Behind The Chair Men’s International Big Shot Winner 2018, for which he was chosen from over 311,000 entries worldwide.

In the long term, further expansion of his range is being considered with funding options to explore.

Sam is also committed to spending more time in the North East over the coming months to continue to build on the success of Hidden Heights.

He said: “It was a huge decision to launch my range and one I didn’t take lightly, as it’s a very crowded marketplace with so many household name global brands, but my products have exceeded all my expectations.

“Each time I ordered more stock, it sold out within days, so I am now launching the next phase with confidence.

“The feedback has been fantastic, and I’m constantly delighted by the support I receive from clients. I have a lot of entrepreneurs among my client base and I think they in particular realise what a huge thing is it to invest your own money and put your own name to a business venture, and the encouragement I’ve received from them in particular has been incredible.

“Having my own ten-product range is a huge milestone for me in what has been an amazing few years. Longer-term, I do have some ideas of what I’d like to achieve to take it to the next level, but for now I want to concentrate on ensuring the second phase launch is as much of a success as the first.

“I’ve travelled the world for the past few years but there is no better place to be than the North East, and I’m excited to be here to build my business further.”
