North East Times host their second Impact Awards

On December 4, North East Times welcomed 175+ attendees to celebrate the North East-based individuals who have made a significant mark on the regional business landscape in 2019.

The event, hosted at Wylam Brewery, was presented by well-known BBC radio presenters Gilly Hope and Anna Foster.

Winners on the evening included –

Global Impact Award: Patricia Alexander, managing director of Shared Interest

Financial Impact Award: Nick Oates, CEO of Quanta

Profile Impact Award: Paul Lancaster, founder and director of Plan Digital UK

Innovation Impact Award: Will Dracup, CEO of Biosignatures Limited

Regional Impact Award: Jen Hartley, director of Invest Newcastle

The Outstanding Impact Award went to Jen Hartley, director of Invest Newcastle, her second triumph of the evening.

All the shortlisted nominees feature in the December issue of North East Times, with Jen Hartley on the cover.

Pete Mallon, managing director of North East Times, said: “This is the second year we have hosted these awards to recognise those in the region who have made an impact in a variety of ways.

“We asked people to nominate individuals online, and we received a huge amount of brilliant nominations – which demonstrated the breadth and depth of the region’s business community and the influence they’re making regionally, nationally and internationally.

“Congratulations goes to last night’s winners – all of whom have shown exceptional leadership and strategic decision making.

“A special thank you also goes to our category sponsors – St James Square Law Firm, Bradley O’Mahoney Public Relations, Armstrong Watson, Newcastle International Airport, Education Partnership North East – as well as our event partner, Barclays UK.

“The team at North East Times were thrilled to welcome attendees to our informal awards bash, where guests could network with each other and our winners. We are thrilled with the success of the event, and a huge congratulations to Jen Hartley on your extra accolade of outstanding impact.”

A charitable donation from every ticket will be made to Marie Curie.
