North East Times strengthens commercial team

Multi-channel publishing company North East Times has welcomed another key appointment

Matt Pacey (pictured right) has joined the Gosforth-based company as business development manager, strengthening the vast experience of the commercial team.

Matt brings three years’ experience in media and publishing to the role, having previously worked as a business and education account manager at Reach plc, where he demonstrated a dynamic approach to advertising solutions and built a track record in consummate customer service, account management and new business development.

Matt will support the growth and development of the key client base of business titles North East Times and Contact, while supporting the team in initiating and implementing new product ideas in print, digital and business events across the region.

Matt commented: “I’m so pleased to have joined the team at North East Times, and I am looking forward to working with the team to develop new and exciting opportunities for advertisers, partners and clients.”

The recruitment of Matt builds on an ambitious expansion strategy, which has accelerated since the team that revitalised North East Times three years ago won the tender to produce Contact magazine for the North East England Chamber of Commerce, in December 2018.

Commercial director Martin Stout said: “Since relaunching North East Times in November 2015, the title has gone from strength-to-strength and we have established a stellar reputation thanks to our combination of inspiring business and lifestyle content, guaranteed 7,000 monthly print run, high-quality design and striking portrait photography.

“We now very much see ourselves as a multi-channel publishing company that can build bespoke, results-driven marketing solutions, and the skillset and experience of Matt will add exponential value to our commercial offering.”

“I’m thrilled to welcome Matt to the team who will have an integral role in the future development of the company.”
