Northern women in leadership

Women in the North are being presented with the opportunity to develop new leadership skills and to extend their professional network by undertaking a new course and conference delivered by Northumbria University.

The ‘Northern Women in Leadership Programme and Conference’ will address how to progress your career in times of change and to how to manage the demands of modern leadership.

Delivered through a series of workshops by leading academics and practitioners in the field of leadership and organisation development, the Programme and Conference will bring together individuals who operate in a broad range of leadership roles within the public and private sector.

The programme is designed for individuals (women and men) who:

  • Aspire to more senior levels of management
  • Seek to refresh skills and knowledge, or enhance their professional influence
  • Are entrepreneurs or business owners
  • Are prepared to engage openly and share their own experiences of leadership

The four, one-day workshops cover the following (below) and provide opportunity for integrating and reflecting on the new knowledge gained during your participation.

Module 1 – 5th March 2019 (Realising your potential, making choices and creating success)

Module 2 – 2nd April 2019 (Influence, Power and Politics)

Module 3 – 14th May 2019 (Strategy, Finance and Governance)
