Queensway Dental all smiles as £500,000 suite creates jobs

A dental clinic is creating jobs after spending £500,000 on a new implant suite.

Queensway Dental has extended its site in Billingham, near Stockton.

Bosses say they expect the facility, which will be publicly unveiled in early September, to deliver an additional ten roles.

They added the investment further confirms the business’ commitment to Billingham town centre and will help attract thousands of additional patients every year.

The new ground floor facility has space for three dentists and a hygienist to provide patients with full oral health assessments alongside treatment.

Room for patient consultation away from the surgery and private consultation with the clinic’s treatment co-ordinator Jade Hand will also be available.

Officials added the Billingham site is now the only one in the UK with two 3D dental CT scanner machines in one building, allowing improved assessment of patients’ teeth and jaws.

Dr Ian Lane, partner at Queensway Dental, which also has bases in Jesmond, Darlington and Ferryhill, County Durham, said: “We needed a new and updated spacious area to carry out more complex and advanced implant consultations and surgery and I’m very proud of the new space we have created in Billingham.

“The patient space and working environment are at the highest standards for a dental clinic and it has allowed us to increase our capacity to look after some of the most complex dental cases along with our well-qualified team and highly-skilled technicians who are right next door.

“Ultimately we want to offer our patients a relaxed environment with excellent clinical facilities.

“We are now utilising the most impressive technology more than ever before, allowing us to communicate the best way forward for advanced dental case management.”
