Record growth for Oculus HR

Sunderland Software Centre-based human resources provider Oculus HR has recorded its best year to date with record growth, which they put down to their ‘people first’ policy.

Founded six years ago by managing director Louise Kennedy, Oculus provides innovative and flexible HR solutions to firms across the UK.

Before taking the decision to start a business of her own, Louise Kennedy had worked in the manufacturing sector for the likes of EEF and Nissan supplier Valeo.

Commenting on the firm’s ‘people first’ policy, Louise said: “staff are the most important part of any business, so it made sense to take what I had learned over a decade working in such high-pressure industries and to use it to develop and embed good practice in other companies and industries.”

Oculus recorded a rise in turnover of 50 per cent last year and Louise has bold ambitions for the year ahead, including the recruitment of a new HR assistant to strengthen the firm’s offering.

She added: “It has been another fantastic year for Oculus and we couldn’t be happier with the direction the company is heading in.

“Not only have we recorded a rise in revenue, we’ve also welcomed new clients on board and have continued to expand our service offering.”
