Sage’s Newcastle North Park office base up for sale

The home of a North East-founded international software firm has gone on the market.

Sage’s North Park office building, in Newcastle’s Great Park, is up for sale.

The move comes after the business – founded in the North East in the early 1980s – announced a move to Newcastle’s Cobalt Business Park.

Real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed as agent to market the 212,865 sq ft base.

It says North Park is available on a leasehold or freehold basis, adding it would suit a range development or investment opportunities, subject to planning.

Greg Davison, partner in Cushman & Wakefield’s National Offices team, said: “The Sage building occupies a significant site on the outskirts of Newcastle and offers an unrivalled opportunity within the region with a wide range of possible uses beyond its existing office use, including residential, assisted living or mixed-use development, subject to planning.”

The building is split into six distant blocks adjoined by internal full height atriums and includes a café, restaurant, gym and leisure facilities.
