Shakespeare’s greatest comedy creation takes centre stage in arts centre production

Perfect Fools theatre company visit Arts Centre Washington on Friday 15 February with Tim Crouch’s ‘charged, hilarious’ and ‘downright joyous celebration’ of Shakespeare’s most pent up steward, ‘I, Malvolio’.

‘I, Malvolio’ is the story of Twelfth Night told through the eyes of the play’s ‘notoriously wronged’ servant. In a story of lost dignity, prudery, practical jokes and bullying, Malvolio draws his audience into the madness of Shakespeare’s play and makes it his own.

It’s a performance for anyone who has ever been told off, called a name or fallen in love with the wrong person!

This solo performance features Teesdale actor, and Prague Fringe Outstanding Performance Award winner, Gordon Duffy-McGhie. Professional actor and mime artist, Gordon founded Perfect Fools  in 2009 and has co-written and performed all three Perfect Fools’ previous productions. Gordon is also a familiar face in The Castle Players, taking the title role in their 2018 summer production of Macbeth.

I, Malvolio comes to Arts Centre Washington on Friday 15 February, 7.30pm.  Tickets are £9 / £7.50 (concessions) and are available from www.artscentrewashington.co.uk or by calling 0191 561 3455.
