Square One Law strengthens litigation team

A commercial law firm has strengthened its litigation team.

Square One Law has appointed Mark Egner and Shaun Reardon-John as senior associates, with Kieran Kelly appointed an assistant solicitor.

Mark, formerly at Watson Burton, qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and has a broad range of litigation experience, including property litigation and disputes involving issues such as contracts, companies, intellectual property, insolvency issues and injunctive relief.

He said: “I have been very impressed by the complexity of the cases being handled by Square One Law.

“I like their flexible approach and want to be part of growing the team, which already has an excellent reputation, based on strategic advice and sound judgement.”

Shaun recently returned to the North East from the British Virgin Islands and brings with him a portfolio of international contacts, as well as extensive international insolvency and arbitration expertise.

He said: “When thinking about my relocation to the North East, I was attracted to Square One Law because of its growing reputation within the marketplace and the quality of its clients.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to join a modern, forward-thinking law firm and I’m looking forward to working within a highly-experienced team and helping our clients make informed decisions.”

Gillian Tatt, head of the litigation team, said the company’s appointments will add extra strength to its team.

She added: “We are building a team that has expertise in key areas in relation to litigation and dispute resolution.

“Mark and Shaun bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge dealing with commercial and international litigation.”
