The Entrepreneurs’ Forum appoints two new board members

A North East entrepreneurial membership organisation has appointed two new board members.

Brian Palmer and Aman Chahal have taken up positions with the Entrepreneurs’ Forum.

Brian is chief executive at Northumberland-based Tharsus – the company known for making robots used by grocer Ocado Group to pick customer orders – with Aman co-founder of flat roof design and building services provider TaperedPlus.

The duo replace vice-chairman Graham Robb and Fiona Raglan, and join chairman James Robson, Gill Courtney, Pamela Petty, Yvonne Bell, Dean Benson, Brendon Hayward and John Waterworth as board members.

Brian said: “The Entrepreneurs’ Forum helped me on my entrepreneurial journey, providing inspiration, insight and camaraderie, so I feel it is only right to accept the invitation to join the board.”

Aman added: “I accepted the invitation as I reckon its payback time for all the support and encouragement the Forum’s members have given me over the past few years.

“It’s good to know we are not alone.”

While welcoming its new appointees, the Forum has also celebrated the contributions of Graham and Fiona.

James added: “It’s gratifying to learn both Brian and Aman accepted our invitation to join the board because they are motivated to support a new generation of entrepreneurs across the North East.

“They have both gained an incredible amount of experience and knowledge in successfully scaling up their own businesses and their input is hugely valued.

“I also wish to express my gratitude to Graham and Fiona for their contributions and hard work.

“Both have contributed to the success of the Forum in innumerable ways.”
