The Lakes Distillery reach new heights at Manchester Airport

With the UK being the biggest exporter of gin in the world, the airport is about to add the multi award winning “The Lakes Gin” to their ever-growing gin portfolio.

Further cementing the nation’s most popular spirit of choice.

The North’s busiest airport will begin to stock the multi award winning Lakes Distillery’s spirits from May 2017, with The Lakes Gin.

Celebrating provenance, artisan ethos and flying the flag for The Best of British.

Nigel Mills, Chairman of The Lakes Distillery said “Our expansion and brand awareness is continuing to grow at such a strong pace with not only The Lakes Gin but our whole family of spirits.

“We are excited to be taking to the stage in World Duty Free.

“It is perfect timing to join forces with Manchester Airport, working closely together to drive the airport as the Gateway to Cumbria and The Lakes Distillery.”

The multi award winning Lakes Distillery, based in the heart of The Lake District near Lake Bassenthwaite, has created a family of renowned spirits for all.

Having opened its doors in 2014 the distillery is young yet taking the sprit and tourism industries by storm.

Manchester Airport and The Lakes Distillery will help showcase the range of destinations available from Manchester, as the airport continues to grow its catchment area across the entire Cumbria region.

The partnership will also see the airport add to its commitment of using local suppliers with key products including The Lakes Gin, available in the airport’s World Duty Free store from April.

With the stock, newly available in Manchester airport, passengers from across the world will get the opportunity to buy award-winning The Lakes Gin.
