Blyth’s Harlyn Solutions supports Moray West Wind Farm substation scheme

A heavy transport company has added its expertise to an energy scheme.

Harlyn Solutions has completed the first phase of a project to move two substations to Scotland’s Moray West Wind Farm.

The Blyth-based business provided engineering, vessel and marine support to shift the substations to Cromarty Firth, ahead of installation.

Hamish Adamson, Harlyn Solutions’ managing director, said: “We are proud to work alongside other high-quality companies in this delivery.”

Pete Geddes, Moray West project director, added: “We are delighted Harlyn Solutions has safely delivered the two topsides, ready for the final journey to the wind farm site.

“The project has progressed using a multi-contracting approach, which has meant we have developed our understanding of the marine transport sector, including finding and selecting Harlyn as a thoroughly competent UK supplier.”
