Devine Chemicals eyes market growth with double expansion

A County Durham speciality chemicals maker and global distributor says it will remain “at the forefront” of industry following a double investment.

Devine Chemicals has expanded its Annfield Plain head office and opened a research and innovation centre.

Bosses say its headquarters move has doubled warehousing and production capacity.

They add its development hub, based in Lancashire, is also allowing the company to drive change across new coatings and adhesive-based systems.

Dan Devine, commercial director [pictured, above], said: “Over the past 12 months we have been on an exciting journey of growth and development, and it is fantastic to see all the hard work come to fruition.

“The new research and innovation centre will enable us to continuously evolve our product portfolio and stay at the forefront of our industries.

“Furthermore, it provides us with the facilities and technology to collaborate with customers, run trials and develop products to meet their specific requirements.”

Devine Chemicals, which also has a European office and warehouse in the Netherlands, designs and makes a portfolio of products that include speciality additives and water-based and solvent-based pigments.

It last year launched the AptiCem building and construction division to offer speciality chemicals such as dry mortar additives.
