Esh Construction delight at £60 million social housing contracts

A building firm has secured work worth more than £60 million.

Esh Construction is supporting social landlords on refurbishment projects.

The company is working with Thirteen Group to deliver kitchen, boiler and rewiring improvements to more than 400 homes in Thornaby, near Stockton, as part of its place on the organisation’s capital delivery framework.

Elsewhere, the firm will refresh kitchens and bathrooms as part of a 1300-property-plus scheme in North Yorkshire alongside Broadacres Housing Association, and will refurbish two residential developments – including one in South Shields – for Riverside.

Colin Ford, Esh Construction operations director, said: “We are delighted to have secured several notable contract awards to kickstart 2023.

“We look forward to working collaboratively with clients to improve living conditions for tenants, while building on our extensive experience of delivering refurbishment works for more than two decades.”

He added: “We are committed to making a lasting difference within the communities surrounding our developments, and each contract will allow us to create employment opportunities and generate a significant amount of work for our local supply chain.

“They will also allow us to deliver social value initiatives, such as volunteering and donations, school and college engagement, and training opportunities.”
