Hodgson Sayers supports Gentoo on Wearside tower block project

A building maintenance firm is working on a £500,000 housing association contract.

Hodgson Sayers is renewing roofing on Gentoo’s 15-storey Australia Tower, in Sunderland, which was damaged by Storm Arwen.

Keith Jenkins, contracts manager at the Stanley-headquartered company, said: “While replacing the roofing has been a challenge, the key priority throughout has been the health and safety of tenants, the general public and, of course, our staff, sub-contractors and suppliers.

“We have worked very closely with Gentoo to ensure the site is professional and well managed.

“We always put great emphasis on sites being clean and tidy and are mindful we are operating directly within where people live.”
