Mandale Group hails Urlay Nook park potential as first tenants arrive

A property development firm says a new commercial hub will “entice businesses and create jobs” after welcoming its first tenants.

Mandale Group is building a business park at Urlay Nook, near Eaglescliffe.

The site includes 21 units, with North East Door Systems one of the first companies to take occupancy.

Citing the park’s close proximity to Teesside International Airport and the A66 and A19, Joe Darragh, Mandale Group estates director, said: “Bringing the units to Urlay Nook will offer a great advantage to the area.

“It will entice new and innovative businesses to boost the local economy and create job opportunities.

“The location means it serves a huge area and provides an array of opportunities for any potential tenant.”

Andrew Brown, North East Door Systems’ founder and managing director, moved his business to Urlay Nook earlier this year, having previously been without an office or base to hold stock.

He added: “Having warehouse space downstairs and a separate office upstairs is great.

“The unit is ideal for us.”
