NTG Precision Engineering marks plant move with equipment boost

An engineering firm has marked a factory move with a series of production investments.

NTG Precision Engineering is adding equipment to its new 45,000sq ft Team Valley base.

Bosses say the apparatus – which includes a 5-axis machining centre – will boost manufacture of metal components for the automotive, food production, automation and energy generation sectors.

They also say the equipment drive will be matched by staff additions, with the company hoping to increase its 72-strong team by 20 per cent over the next 18 months.

Mike Hutchinson, NTG group managing director, said: “We have grown year-on-year for the past decade, and this new facility will provide the space we need to meet demand and strengthen our position as a manufacturer of choice across our key customer industries.

“The addition of new technology enables us to support clients with broader precision engineering capabilities.

“The move also supports our investment in people.

“We are focused on delivering high-value jobs that provide long-term career paths for our talented team.”
