A renewables firm is moving to new headquarters following a takeover.
OnPath Energy will switch to Chase House, on Rainton Bridge Business Park, later this year.
The move follows Brookfield Global Transition Fund’s swoop for Banks Renewables – latterly renamed as OnPath Energy – in late 2023.
Bosses say the base will boost the roll out of new wind, solar and energy storage projects.
Richard Dunkley, OnPath Energy chief executive, said: “The name captures the journey towards net-zero that we’re taking together with customers, business partners, landowners and local communities.
“Moving into Chase House will be the next step on our journey.
“Our aim is to grow the diversity of our technologies and geographical footprint while we strive to deliver a range of high-quality projects that will contribute to the UK’s journey towards net-zero and its essential domestic supplies of secure, affordable renewable energy.”
Patrick Matheson, a partner at property consultancy Knight Frank LLP’s Newcastle office, acted on behalf of Rainton Bridge Business Park owner Praxis LLP.
He added: “We are delighted OnPath Energy has chosen Rainton Bridge.
“The significant investment Praxis has made in refurbishing Chase House aligned perfectly with its requirements.”
